Great importance was also attached to the technical data of the door leaves and a wide range of technical requirements were to be integrated: the corridor-room doors have a sound insulation rating of Rw, P 42 dB, some with smoke and fire protection requirements, and an automatic lock with transponder technology. The connecting double doors between the suites are highly soundproof up to Rw, P 52 dB and are equipped with an emergency door function, so that in the event of an alarm, the door is released by an additional closer. Quality, flexibility and short delivery times
The contract went to joinery Sillmann from Kehl, which took care of the installation and qualified handling of the property. Door manufacturer Joro from Renchen supplied the soundproof, smoke and fire protection doors. Quality, flexibility with special solutions and short delivery times were the decisive factors. All characteristics that are indispensable in the implementation phase for such large projects. The company has specialized in interior doors for more than 40 years, especially for the upscale contract and private sector. In the contract sector in particular, the Renchen-based company has been able to achieve major sales growth in recent years by partnering with joinery and interior fittings companies.
But the order also included other elements in addition to the hallway-room doors. All lamellar bathroom doors were manufactured and delivered to match the interior fittings of the rooms. The surfaces of both the hallway-room doors and the bathroom doors are finished in high-quality varnish, the fittings and hinges are made of stainless steel. This high quality design gives the doors a very special touch.
All doors in the corridor area as well as the passage frames were given classic pedestal posts with voluminous profiled cladding made from MDF. Even the bathroom surrounds for the showers are made of solid surface material to match the bathroom door. It is precisely these details that reflect the client's high quality standards.
Advanced logistics
After receiving the order, the door manufacturer had around six weeks to produce the total of 600 doors and frames. In the first week a sample room was completed to ensure certainty with regard to the technical data and the design. Then production ran at full speed and the doors were delivered on time in line with construction progress and installed from mid-August to the end of October 2001. An extraordinary logistical achievement had to be accomplished here, for example the doors could not be brought to the installation locations in the house via stairs or elevators due to lack of space. All door elements therefore had to be transported to the individual floors with an external elevator. Storage facilities were not available and so it was of the utmost importance to deliver the door elements in the correct quantity and on time.
Orders of this magnitude or with unusual requirements are no exception for the contract door specialist. Absolute flexibility that works in practice is one of the keys to success. An important prerequisite for this on a technical level was the acquisition of a Reichenbacher Vision Sprint CNC machining center. The five-axis machine was specially adapted to the requirements and needs of joro's special door production. Further investments were made in a UV coating system with an upstream Ernst cross-sanding machine and in a Homag Softforming edge banding machine. As a result the door manufacturer is technically right up to date.
In order to meet the requirements of door reliability, the company has important test certificates in burglary protection, smoke control and sound insulation. In the area of fire protection, fire protection tests have already been successfully passed and approval is in preparation.
Reference projects include the Federal Ministry of Economics in Berlin, the residences of the embassies of Mexico and Malaysia, the Side Hotel in Hamburg and the Rittershaus law firm in Mannheim. Additional ambitious projects are in the realization phase.
Contract doors from Renchen
joro türen gmbh has a tradition going back 40 years. During this period, the family company from Renchen has specialized in doors for the upscale contract and private sector. In 1996 Martin Rohwetter took over the company management from his father. He invested heavily in state-of-the-art machine technology and was able to further establish the company with its 20 employees on the market.
Between 1996 and 2000, sales tripled. Production takes place in a 1300 m² production hall, with 140 m² of exhibition and office space integrated. The vertical range of manufacture in the wood sector is high, which ensures that the company is largely independent of suppliers. In order to be able to react to orders at short notice, extensive stocks of raw materials are kept. In addition to an extensive and varied program, the door specialist carries out customer requests and custom-made products in particular.
With its products, Joro also caters to high requirements and additional properties such as sound, climate, fire and smoke protection as well as burglar resistance and sees itself as a partner to the joinery trade. Door leaf heights of up to 3 m with a top panel of up to 4.5 m as well as in smoke-tight, burglar-resistant, sound and fire protection versions are new to the production program. All door frame constructions are made from blockboard or MDF.
Tradition and modernity
For over 40 years it was the summer residence of the German imperial couple. With its reopening, the Maison Messmer is experiencing its renaissance and is accessible to guests from all over the world.
In the heart of the smallest cosmopolitan city in Europe, right next to the spa rooms/casino, the Dorint Maison Messmer was built over a three-year period. For around €42 million, a group of investors has created a "hotel with a view to the future".
Inside you will find all the amenities of a modern 5-star hotel: 114 rooms and 47 suites have classic elegance and future-oriented technology: all rooms are fully air-conditioned, some with a balcony and a view of the city. Telephone with mailbox function, PC TAE connection for the laptop, internet access as well as radio and cable TV connect guests with the world.
The event area also leaves nothing to be desired. The lavishly restored painter's hall, once an imperial dining room, is a worthy setting for festive banquets and international events. Here, too, innovative conference technology is to be found, e.g. high-performance projectors, electronic pin boards, touch-screen and ISDN connections. Starting with the exquisite breakfast buffet in the brasserie, to the gourmet restaurant "J.B. Messmer" to the cozy theater cellar or a last drink in the chimney bar – the gastronomy of the New House fascinates with its variety.
The world of the "Royal Spa" is available for relaxation. The stressed visitors of today will find what they dream of on 800 m²: a swimming pool in an exclusive Art Nouveau ambience with a waterfall and hot tub, Finnish sauna with tiled stove, steam bath with haman, laconium, themed showers, brine grotto, beauty farm, vitality activity area and vitality bar.
The Dorint Group is based in Mönchengladbach and, with around 7,300 employees, is one of the leading German hotel chains competing internationally. Dorint currently has 94 operations with around 16,000 rooms in nine European countries and Morocco.
